How severe must a boss's vulgarity, verbal abuse, and belittiling be to warrant a lawsuit? ?
My boss is vulgar, screams, swears, and belittles his employee's on a regularly basis. In front of co-workers, I have been referred to as a "worthless piece of...., a f@cking $sshole, g*ddam ******, has told me to wear high heels to work, (I am a man), among numerous other things, NUMEROUS! The restroom was backed up at one of our stores. He owns the apartment directly next door. (which was vacant at the time) We had to use the restroom in the apartment he owned. At the time he was fixing it up on a saturday, with the help of his son. As I was leaving he screamed, "Don't come here again to take a sh$t. If you have to do that, go to the Tim Horton's down the street. I have to clean that bathroom you f*cking sbag!" and this type of belittling continued, in front of his son for about five minuets. There have been numerous such occasions, in which I have felt verbally abused. I am not sure what to do in this situation. Due to the current state of the economy jobs are not plentiful in western New York.. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
