Which is more beneficial?

I am trying to start a career. I have a dead end job so school is my only option right now. I know that I want to either be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (for a while before attempting to be a registered nurse) or a sonogram technician. As far as benefits, pay and demand go....which is the better field of work?
