Good animes with the science fiction genre/theme?

In the past I've seen Ergo Proxy and even further in my past I've seen the movie Metropolis. I was wondering what other anime series/movies there are with the science fiction genre where it's placed in a futuristic/dystopia setting. I cannot remember much of Metropolis, but Ergo Proxy was good (I liked it) and I was just wondering if there are any others out there similar to it or not. ^^"
